Aahlborg |
|
We had a very nice couple of days in Aalborg,
Denmark around Easter 2002.
Pamilla and I checked in on a charming little Hotel
by the name of “Prinsen”. We wandered the streets,
shopped and caught an oldie at the local cinema,
Steven Speilbergs “ET”. In a way I love Denmark, and
spending time there with someone you love, is great. |

London |
|
London, Gothenburg's “older brother” they say
sometimes and how right they are. It’s a
mini-version of my beloved hometown, only with
better shops and greater attractions of course. Pamilla took me to the Westlife-Concert and I took
her to the classic Madame Tussauds wax cabinet. We
stayed at the Mayflower Hotel, not too far away from
“Earls Court” where we saw the Irish boy-band
perform. |

Tenerife |
|
This Spanish vacationing resort just outside of the
African coast, were mine and Pamilla’s first actual
“long-trip”, it took five hours by plane from
Gothenburg and needless to say (as I am scared of
flying) it was a nightmare, however the stay was
just
beautiful; we went on a fishing trip, sun-bathed and
just enjoyed ourselves. It was great. |

Newcastle |
|
Newcastle provided us with some historical lessons,
primarily at the Castle Keep-museum which Pamilla
insisted on taking me to. I was hesitant as I am not
much of a fan when it comes to things of the past.
This Castle was intriguing though and extremely
interesting. Once again we attended a Westlife concert
and caught a nail-biting horror-flick at the local
cinema called “Wrong Turn”. Wonderful. In addition
to that we also went to the famous soccer-stadium.

Dublin |
|
In Dublin we had to endure rain and cloudy skies for
a few days and that surely isn’t what you want and
desire on your holiday. Still this Irish
city turned out a memorable and fairly nice vacation
for us after all. We took a tour-bus, munched on
Ice-creams occasionally and enjoyed a true Irish
breakfast at the Hotel (or bed & breakfast
actually), like it or not but you can’t say it isn’t
charming, and they offered the best hamburger I have
ever had the pleasure to put in my mouth. I kid you
not! |
